Russell Quant Mysteries
Book
Club Offer
I
love visiting book clubs and have been graciously
invited to join the inner sanctum…if
just for an evening…of a number of
them over the years. And if I’ve learned
anything, it’s that each book club
is different—in style, in composition,
in rules of engagement, in point of view
and in what they want from a guest author—all
of which is fascinating and appealing to
me.
Of
course, due to proximity issues, most of
the book clubs I’ve attended have
been in my home city of Saskatoon. I began
to wonder if there was a way to extend my
experience beyond city borders, to spend
a little time with readers elsewhere in
the world, readers who may not have the
opportunity to come out to my book tour
and reading engagements. And that’s
how and why I came up with this book club
offer, which goes something like this:
If
you have a book club, have chosen to read
one (or more) of the Russell Quant mysteries,
and your club would like to have a discussion
with or ask questions of me, let’s
see if we can make that work.
By
phone: I will call your book club at a pre-appointed
time for up to fifteen (15) minutes. If
you have conference call/speaker phone abilities
on your phone, I can speak with the entire
club, alternately, the club members can
come up with pre-arranged questions which
one member can ask me and take notes on
to share with the others after the call
is complete.
By
e-mail: I will respond to an e-mailed questionnaire
of up to five (5) questions prepared and
sent to me by your book club.
So,
if you’re interested, just send
me an e-mail at
and we can get started
on arranging my phone/e-mail visit with
your book club. As always, I am very
grateful to the readers of my books…so,
whether or not you’re part of
a book club or decide to take part
in this offer, thank you for being
a reader.
